R.G. LeTourneau is most famous for his Mk II Overland Land Train. However, there were a total of 6 land trains produced to include the VC-12 Tournatrain, Model VC-22 Sno-Freighter, TC-264 Sno-Buggy, Side Dump Train, Logistical Cargo Carrier LCC-1, and the Overland Train Mk II. These machines were significant, especially in World War II, as LeTourneau's machines represented 70% of all heavy equipment in operation. LeTourneau's machines also supplied the construction materials of the Distant Early Warning surveillance system across Alaska, Canada and Greenland. These highly effective machines were widely utizlized during the War.
